Fisher Dachs Associates was retained for theatre planning and design services for renovation and rejuvenation of the historic Brooklyn Paramount Theatre at Long Island University. When it reopens, the Brooklyn Paramount will be a 3,000-seat venue for music, comedy, and sports events. The project is being undertaken in partnership between Long Island University and Paramount Events Center (PEC), under the management of BSE Global.

Some of the changes that will come about as a result of this renovation include moving the entrance to the original location at the corner of Flatbush and Dekalb Avenues, a loge level balcony and box office will be reestablished, as well as improvements to the restrooms, lightning, and sound system.

The LIU venue will provide a unique opportunity for the university: LIU students will manage the theatre alongside BSE Global once it opens. While the theater's main focus will be reviving its legendary music roots, it will also host a mix of family entertainment, comedy, sporting events, and programs for LIU students.
