Michael Wyant joined FDA in August 2018 as a project manager and was promoted to senior consultant in 2020.  He has worked on a number of significant projects including the Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, FL, Artists Repertory Theatre (ART) in Portland, OR, the Bloomberg Center Renovation at John Hopkins University in Washington, DC, North Building Auditorium Renovation CUNY Hunter College, Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum, Atlanta, GA, and more.

He previously worked at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT for 13 years — including over six years as Director of Production. He began at LWT as the Assistant Technical Director and was promoted to Technical Director after two seasons. Some of Mike’s favorite LWT projects include the world premiere of METEOR SHOWER by Steve Martin; MY PARIS, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall; LET ME DOWN EASY, written and performed by Anna Deavere Smith and with scenery by David Rockwell. 

Prior to his tenure at LWT, he spent two summers at Williamstown Theatre Festival as the Associate Technical Director, and was the Assistant Technical Director and Master Carpenter for three seasons at Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA. 

While working at FDA Michael continues to work in live theater. Most recently working on REQIUM FOR AN ELECTRIC CHAIR by Toto Kisaku by writing the Technical Rider for the tour and advancing the show at tour venues.  

Michael is a native of Hilton, NY and graduated from Ithaca College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production, with a concentration in Technical Direction. He studied abroad for a semester at the Ithaca College London Center where he was able to travel to 10 countries — and was banned from none of them.

Michael enjoys watching football; rescuing old dogs; spending time outdoors including gardening, camping, hiking, and water skiing; but is hit or miss with the beach.
