Dorothy Schmidt Center for the Fine Arts

The Dorothy Schmidt Center for the Fine Arts is the centerpiece of the College of Arts and Humanities. The center houses rehearsal and laboratory space, galleries and classrooms for fine arts, administrative and academic support areas; an expanded box office to serve the existing Griswold Theatre; a multipurpose room; and a flexible 300-seat experimental theatre.

FDA’s contributions included helping to conceptualize an orchestra shell for the renovated Griswold Theatre and providing detailed drawings and descriptions about requirements and locations for wheelchair accommodations.
